Wrapping things up?

Well it looks like it’s time to start wrapping things up at the university. I’m currently sitting in the Octogen, our main computing building. Most universities would dream of having something like this.

I’ve got another two weeks in halls of residenese if I decide not to star while my parrents are away. I can’t afford to stay while they’re away, well I don’t think I can. But there will be nothing to do at home… well the internet on the ISDN line, but appart from that not much.

Let’s see what I need to do today, I need to hover my room, it’s currently discusting. I also need to demo my C project which is like 2 weeks overdue, but luckally Dr Cebalushi is allowing me to do it anyway, that’s why I’m here. I have another 5 minutes before I have to go and see him.

I’ve gotta apply for a job with ITs for after the summer, ie next university term. That’ll be good, living so close to the university and having a job there :) Makes life easy, also it’s IT support work so again that’s easy enough.

If it helps for the job, or if it’s just my honour I’m going to ask Judi Ryder for a letter of appology from residential services of accusing me of trying to “hack” into computers.

Appart from that not much else has been happen. I’m beginning to get more worried about my hands shaking, I remember something Slaygon said to me in London that my hands/head shaked while I was using the ATM. I’ve never noticed that before, but if I am doing that, then it is surly something to be worried about.

I’m also still being very tired, this too is worrying. It reminds me of what Emma (curve) has, poor thing. I just hope I don’t get/develope it.

The meeting last night was a success (www development team), it’s cleared certain issues. Now Kenneth, Dennis and I can settle down and start to do some serious work on the database structure. Looking easy at the moment, I was encouraged when Spike said that it may be in the future possible to merge www.* with some aspects of mail.*. ie when a team member is added, they are automatically added to the teams email address. This would infact be easy to do if the database generated a aliases file every hour, which dragonlair could download and then run newaliases. Possible, but I’m not sure if it’ll be done.

Spike spoke to me privatly about some “concerning issues”, however I’ve put my mind to rest over there, it doesn’t seem anything to bad. Just things to keep in mind.

Anyway, time has moved quickly and now I shall go and demonstrate my C assignment.

Have fun,

Pete.
