Afternoon,
It’s a lovely day here in Stafford, we can see the blue sky… which is nice…. I’ve just got back from my Hardward & Software Systems exam, which was kinda funky… Not to difficult… I hope.
I’m on holiday next week from uni, so I’m going to use that for revision and hopefully get www.* V3 started on. I spoke to Spike yeasturday about getting channel ops list fixed on users.*.
Encouragingly he said that if the un/pw/host was removed from the script then he wouldn’t have any problem giving me the script, even though I’d learn something about the structure of services database. However, it appears the problem is not with users.*, it’s infact with servicesdb.*… as it’s currently very slow to search though the op list by nickid atm… Apparently this is on Ryans list of things to do… Which is good.
I also still need to type up the meeting minutes from the LFUS meeting, but nothing major there.
Anyway, I’m off for a beer in the sun,
Pete.

Evening,
A depressivly large ammount of people are starting to move out of Stafford Court… I think 6 from this house left yeasturday. To many, I think Elaine is still here, and I think Julie should be back in a bit. Which may be fun.
I’m thinking when I should move out, the 7th is the earliest possible date because of exams. And if I want to go I have to mvoe out that weekend, or it’s to late as my parents go on holiday, so it’d have to be after that.
Not sure which really, leaving Stafford Court has this air of sadness for me, no idea why. It’s to much like the last day of college or the last day of school. Although I’ll be seeing everyone next year… well most of them.
It’s to much of a family feel, the Academic Warden has been saying there isn’t any… but I disagree, if there wasn’t I wouldn’t mind moving… I suppose leaving Julie without talking to her would have something to do with that. So we’ll see if anything happens before we leave, all depending if she comes back… let’s hope.
Thankfully I’ve got over Gemma now, although I still did care for her… Graeme ICQ’d me this morning, just the generall nonsense he always talked. Until I got called be Andy as we had an LFUS meeting at 2pm…. I was still in bed :).
Anyway, really nothing else happened,
Yay!
Pete.

Well, today has been a chill out day really… Got up this morning to the ring of the telephone from the parrental units, went back to bed, got up… couldn’t sleep… So decided it’d be a good idea to eat something.
Went onto the net to find the classic game of Transport Tycoon Deleux… such a sweet game. I love it. Took me an hour and a half to get it to run after messing with vmware for win2k and shit like that. Ended up using a Win98 boot disk.
Haven’t touched IRC much today, to pissed off at teh fact I can’t keep a stable connection. Various people on there are pissing me off to which doesn’t help.
Had a joint … curry with Rafic, which was nice… I prefer Madrass over whatever we had… The students union shut tonight which was a shame… It means things are really winding down.
Spent most the evening with Martin (security), ended up going on site patrol with him, went around the back, looks like Julie’s room still has stuff in, so she may be back :). Haven’t seen Elaine recently, she’s prolly still here though.
Anyway, enough of that
Pete.

Just got up after resting, parrents rang me and woke me up at 12am… That wasn’t fair :). Let’s see last night I started on the config file system of siren, tried to get DVD’s to play under linux, after battling with it for 2 hours, I finaly got my Stereophoics DVD to play… at about 5 frames per second, and jumpy audio.
If Linux want to make themselves a real competitor to windows then they have a long way to go.
I’ll probably work on some more siren today, however the www-devel team really need to do some work on v3… I will send out a message tonight.
Having fun,
Pete.
