Well I’m 22, as shocking as it is. Had a nice quiet birthday, did some more ANAPOS programming.
Today I programmed a registry system using a bind style data store, seems to be working well, it needs more functions for actually adding data manually and finding values.
Once that’s done tomorrow I need to program the switch process and revisit the client shell. Once that’s done input daemons can be looked at and with that the output daemon can be pollished.
Once that’s done the media library should be next, after the media library the controler will need to be done. After the controller, the interface daemon should be done and finally after that the playlist generation and control should be done.
Then we can finaly start on the Java GUI and then it should all work! YAY!
I know what I’m gonna be doing all week, and hopefully I’ll get an interview this week too. So that’ll take up a day, would be really good if I did.
Oh well, that’ll do for now,
D.

Heh, not long now! Yay!
Just a quick update, playing with anapos, getting most of it’s packet handling right. I’ve also decided on it’s finaly system format, it involves using switching processes which will be able to be linked in loops for safety and redundancy.
TTFN,

I remember now the other thing, really quite random. I was in town leaning against a bench waiting for mum to appear. Two girls walked past, of which I caught the eyes of one of them while looking about.
Once they where past I heard one of them say “that guy had really nice -”, now the - was either eyes of thighs. Knowing that I’m outa shape, I’m gonna assume it was eyes.
Completely random and something I’m definatly not used to. Wierd.

I spent yeasturday afternoon with Joy, just talking about life and what had happened and what will happen. It was our goodbye time as she leaves for Ohio tomorrow after lunch.
With Joy leaving I guess appart from Mark, I’m on my own now. Joy’s gone to Ohio, John’s in Lancaster, Andy’s gone to Minneapolis. Hmmm, not far, I really need to expand my social circle. I’ve been getting to know some of the old college lot again.
I’ve not had a responce from the company I want an interview with, but apparently the person who is interviewing is away for the bank holiday weekend. So we’ll see what happens afterwards.
Speaking of this weekend I progress another year up the calendar… 22. Made me feel old after being in Weatherspoons on GCSE results night. The girls in there who where probably 15/16 they looked 19, but still ya know. Damn, makes ya feel dirty :|.
RSI is starting to hurt more in my right hand, or it may be carple tunnel. At least that’s what mum things it is. I need to look at my position and posture and try and nip it in the bud, especially considering that computing is likly to be my lively hood.
Well that’s about it, I’m sure there was something else, but I can’t recall what it was… oh well.

I still can’t concentrate, I slept reasonably last night. I’ve not really been able to sit and work on anything today. I’ve looked at a few jobs, applied for anyone one.
I also got rung by a recruiting company asking if I’d like to be put forward for a job in Warrington doing support, build, installation of Sun hardware and software. The company is also willing to fully train, it’d be a good way to get into the professional UNIX job market. Let’s hope something comes from this one.
I also sent my CV to Mark today and has given it to his boss, so we’ll see if anything happens from that front too. I’d prefer this Solaris gig though. I really need to work on ANAPOS and get more of that done, the playout machine is pritty much finished now. Just the actual daemon to go.
I think my lack of being able to concentrate is due to being bored and kinda depressed. I guess I need a change or some hope.
Ho hum,
D.
