"Coming out of my cage and I’ve been doing just fine."
HELLO!
Now I haven’t written in this part of my blog for a few weeks, whoops, sorry :). Some of you may or may not know that I have two blogs, this one and a private one. I tend to write more in my private one because while I have public things to blog, I can’t be bothered typing it out twice… Sowwy. 
Well, what’s been happening? Nothing really. I’ve been at work, earning a living. It’s a strange concept. At work we went rock climbing last week on Wednesday, I’m still feeling a little week from it and achy. Yes, I know it was 6 days ago.
At work I’ve been handling more and more complex InstallShield issues, I’m starting to feel like I know what I’m doing now. Which is a huge help. Also what is a help, is that Sandra (our trainer from Bristol) is up for two weeks (second week this week). It’s nice to have an InstallShield genious to ask questions of :).
I’m trying to learn Java properly for a change, I want to implement a new data store for my jabber server. So I’ve decided to do it in Java using IOStreams, SAX and JDBC. I’ve just gotta figure out how to plug it all together.
I went to Borders in Stockport and brought a few Java books to help me with my cause. I’ve started to read up and learn and it’s helping. I’ve just gotta figure out how I actually want to structure my generic JabberServer object so it can be extended.
I’d ask Andy, but unfortunatly he’s been absent online for a few weeks, so hoe if you read this Jabber me! 
What else is new? Well a couple of my friends from Lancaster have split up, it’s seemed a little sudden, but then again on another side it hasn’t. So hey. I wish them both the best of luck.
Well I should goaway and consider doing some work.
