Well I thought I’d let you know on the status of my iPod, this morning I got my empty iPod box from Apple. I packed it away in the box, it looked so nice and neat. I rang UPS and they were here by 13:30 to collect it.

So it’s off on it’s journey to the Netherlands to be diagnosed. What I found interesting was that the UPS man said “Oh another iPod eh” ….so I prodded… “yeah, I pick up about ten of these a week …so I prodded more… “at the depot? oh about hundred or so a week”.

Oh dear… I think there’s a design flaw somewhere isn’t there :/. On the upside my iPod shuffle, battery pack and AppleCare extension for my main iPod arrived this morning… excellent service.

Well umm, not much has been happening recently, I’ve got my full time job at work, so all is good. I was up in Lancaster this weekend, and my iPod seems to have killed it’s self.

So far I’ve seen the imfamous Folder with an Exclaimation Mark, and an Unhappy iPod. I’ve tried all the suggestions from Apple’s support site, but they didn’t help. So alas I’ve logged a service request, and I shall expect a empty box at work on Tuesday to send mine back in. *sniff*.

On the upside I’ve decided to extend my warentee on my iPod… after 6 months this happens. So I want cover for 18 more months. Some people complain it’s to expensive… but for the amount I use my iPod… I think it’s worth it.

I did however buy a iPod Shuffle for the car, I was thinking about it before this failed. Something small that I can leave in the car and not worry.
